I've tried to put these by dates so you can see the progress. Pictures are of Mercedes Floodway, LaFeria floodway So on 506, & Floodway between McAllen & Hidalgo from July 11 through yesterday afternoon. We went to pick up Van this evening about 6 & looks the same. However, the dam south of Mission has been opened again and much more flooding. Don't know if that will cause problems. Will try to keep you all informed. As Sam & I were coming back from Alamo with the Van, it was so wierd to come upon the floodway and thinking - gee, if we just had our boat down here - we could do some fishing........... quite the awesome feeling.......... Was thru Mercedes the other day - Floodway is pretty much dry all over - quite a change than before we went to Ks. 1st of August.
